He who abides in love, abides in God.

Sunday School

Jesus said "Let the little children come to me."

The Bellport United Methodist Church is committed to providing Christian education opportunities for those wishing to continue exploring their walk with God.

Sunday School classes are held throughout the year (including summer) for preschool-aged children through high school during Sunday morning worship service.

Confirmation classes are available for children who have reached the age of 13. The study begins in September resulting in their Confirmation in the following late spring.

Children learn about mission by participating in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, helping collect food for Thanksgiving baskets and other outreach projects as they arise.

Children can also join the Children’s Choir for year-round singing pleasure. They can take part in the annual Christmas Pageant and Christmas caroling for the homebound church members. The children enjoy making special ornaments to give as gifts to the homebound.

Bibles are given to children who have completed 3rd grade and have attended Sunday School throughout the year(s). Owning a Bible encourages them to study the Word of God and grow in their understanding and knowledge.
