The mission of the Thrift Shop is to be a center of outreach to our community. We accomplish this endeavor in several ways:
- First, the staging of our shop evokes a feeling of warmth making all who enter feel welcome.
- Second, while our volunteers are more than happy to assist our patrons with their shopping, they are also willing to lend an ear when someone simply needs to share their life's ups and downs with another.
- Third, we work cooperatively with many local charitable groups to provide goods and assistance where we can. We work with Mary Immaculate Church and the St. Vincent DePaul voucher program. We also assist the South Country Leadership Alliance clothing drives, toys for the Boys & Girls Club, furniture to the Vietnam Veterans charitable group and winter clothing for the Eastern Farm Workers as well as the Congregational Church in Patchogue to distribute to those in need.
